On the 10th of June, Offecct had the great pleasure of announcing the winner of the Offecct Prize 2014. The Offecct Prize is an architecture prize established by Offecct in 2010, with the ambition to promote and support young and promising architects. The prize is given each year to the best student thesis at The School of Architecture, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and consists of a diploma and a 10.000 kronor grant.
The jury selected five out of 70 thesis at he School of Architecture’s graduation show. One out of these five nominated thesis won the award which this year went to the young Icelandic architect Katla Maríudóttir for here thesis Jarðnæði; Tranquil Terra.
During a festive event on the 10th that gathered national press and young as well as established architects, Offecct CEO Kurt Tingdal and the jury’s chairman, Swedish architect Petra Gipp, announced the winner.
The five nominated thesis will be on display for the public at the Offecct showroom until the 24th of June between 08:30-17:00.
